A small group of redpolls feeds and sings in my garden. A perfect little bird to practice photographing, even though it does not like to sit still for very long time.

Great black cormorant
The seabird Great black cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) had followed the river Reykjadalsá up to Reykholt – roughly 30 km from the ocean. The bird lived happily for quite a while feeding on salmon spawns in the warm creeks around Reykholt. Not everyone was quite as happy as the bird, which was chased away from the river.
